"We are working to ensure security in Ukraine and to establish reliable security guarantees. I am grateful to all the countries supporting us in this effort and to the United Kingdom and France for their leadership. It is precisely this kind of joint work – with everyone focused on a strong result – that helps us bring a durable and lasting peace in Ukraine closer," Zelenskyy concluded.

Military contingent in Ukraine

Yesterday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that French and British troops would be among the first to arrive in Ukraine. According to him, these countries are the main representatives of the European continent.

"I am absolutely confident that French and British troops will be among the first," Zelenskyy said.

He also clarified that, for now, he cannot disclose when exactly the contingents from these countries will arrive or in what numbers, as doing so would violate existing agreements with partners.
