European countries plan to inform Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of their position on a potential ceasefire with Russia, said Polish Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski.

Polish Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski explained that Europe would outline its position in line with the US stance on a ceasefire in the war that Russia started.

He said they would tell Zelenskyy what had been communicated so far and that he could expect specific support, including certain weapons, financial aid, and a clear pathway to meeting the conditions for EU membership.

Sikorski stressed that the decision ultimately lies with Ukraine. He noted that Kyiv must determine whether to continue the fight at the cost of sacrifices or to accept difficult compromises. At the same time, he reaffirmed that Europe would uphold the principle of "nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine."

Trump-Putin meeting in Alaska

A meeting took place last night at a military base in Alaska between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The talks, initially planned as a one-on-one meeting, were held in an expanded 3-on-3 format and lasted around three hours.

After the negotiations, the presidents held a joint press conference that lasted about 10 minutes and did not include questions from journalists.

Trump and Putin called the conversation "productive" and "useful," but no specific agreements on the war in Ukraine were announced.

According to RBC-Ukraine, Trump later contacted President Zelenskyy. The conversation lasted at least an hour and a half and included representatives from European allies. More details on participants are available in the RBC-Ukraine report.

Trump also announced plans to hold a trilateral meeting with the leaders of Ukraine and Russia. The timing of this meeting has been previously reported.
