Poland has done more for Ukraine in proportion to GDP than any other state. At the same time, Poland remains a frontline country and is exposed to the threat as well, says Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radoslaw Sikorski.

Sikorski noted that the West has already provided Ukraine with aid amounting to $217 billion.

"Among the countries helping Ukraine, when considering military, financial, economic, humanitarian aid, and assistance to Ukrainian refugees, Poland has done more for Ukraine than any other country, proportionally to GDP," he emphasized.

He also added that Poland is a frontline country that is threatened by Russia, which is why "not everything is possible."

Yesterday, on October 31, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated during a meeting with local leaders in the Zakarpattia region that Ukraine still hopes to receive MiG-29 fighter jets from Poland, but the Polish side has not yet provided these aircraft.

He mentioned that he had negotiated with former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg about Poland receiving a police mission.

"These are NATO aircraft. We really wanted to get MiGs from Poland, but they could not give us them because they did not have enough of their own," he explained, noting that after discussions with Stoltenberg, Warsaw still did not deliver the aircraft to Ukraine.
