Russians shelled the village of Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region when President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was visiting the area, states the presidential press secretary Serhiy Nykyforov.
"This is Robotyne, and there are active hostilities there. That's why there were relatively close strikes. But I would not dramatize the situation," Nykyforov said.
Zelenskyy's visit to Robotyne
Today, it became known that President Zelenskyy visited Robotyne, which is located directly on the front line in Zaporizhzhia region.
In particular, the head of state visited the location of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade, which protects the settlement liberated from the occupiers in August 2023.
After that, Zelenskyy held a meeting on the situation at the front and the security situation in Zaporizhzhia region. He also introduced Ivan Fedorov, the new head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, who was recently appointed to the position.
Zelenskyy's trip to Kryvyi Rih
After his visit to Zaporizhzhia, the President traveled to Kryvyi Rih. There, Zelenskyy held a meeting on the protection of energy infrastructure.
The president also thanked everyone who promptly helped restore power supply after Russia's recent strikes on Ukrainian territory.
