Seven people were injured in Zaporizhzhia due to shelling on September 24. Rescuers showed footage from the site of the Russian attack, citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).

"On September 24, after 9:00 PM, the occupying forces launched a series of airstrikes on the city of Zaporizhzhia. As a result, seven people were injured, three of whom are currently hospitalized. Four of the victims declined hospitalization," the statement reads.

According to SES, one man was rescued from the rubble.

"Search and rescue operations have been completed. Information regarding the extent of the damage to private homes is being clarified," the SES added.

In total, 35 rescuers and eight equipment units were involved in the response. Police, bomb technicians, volunteers from the Red Cross's Rapid Response Unit, and other city services also worked at the scene.

Shelling of Zaporizhzhia

On the evening of September 24, Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia. Initial reports indicated that six people were injured, but the number later rose to seven.

To recall, on September 22, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs, injuring 13 people, including a child.
