As a result of the strike on military facilities of occupiers in Belgorod on December 30, Russian Federation Investigative Committee officer Mikhail Konopitsin was eliminated. He had previously fought against Ukraine as the commander of an anti-tank missile platoon, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

"Explosions in Belgorod has thinned the ranks of officers of the Russian fascist forces," the statement said.

As a result of the strike on December 30, 2023, on Russian military facilities, 27-year-old Russian Senior Lieutenant Mikhail Konopitsin was eliminated.

As noted by the Main Intelligence Directorate, in November 2023, he was sent to Belgorod to work as part of the military investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

Prior to this, the occupier had fought against Ukraine as the commander of an anti-tank missile platoon.

Shelling of Belgorod on December 30

On the morning of Saturday, December 30, Russian media began claiming an alleged shelling of the Russian city of Belgorod. The damage to over 40 buildings and 60 vehicles was reported.

RBC-Ukraine's sources in the special services reported that the Security and Defense Forces launched a missile strike on military facilities in Belgorod. According to their information, those were joint measures in response to the barbaric shelling of Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odesa, and the killing of civilians in Ukraine.

Russia claimed over 100 wounded and 14 dead as a result of the shelling.
