Shelling of Avdiivka on December 3 results in injuries and fatalities
Russian occupiers today, on December 3, shelled Avdiivka and Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. As a result of the enemy attack, a woman was killed, and several other people were injured, according to the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to law enforcement, during the shelling of Avdiivka, a 64-year-old local resident suffered a penetrating shrapnel wound. At the time of the attack, the man was in his own courtyard, which is located near the combat zone.
The Prosecutor's Office also reported that a 70-year-old woman received gunshot shrapnel wounds in Kostiantynivka, and her 69-year-old fellow villager died on the spot from the injuries sustained. Both victims were caught in enemy fire on the street.
"The settlements were shelled by the Russian army, presumably using small arms artillery. Private houses were also damaged by explosions," reported the prosecutor's office.
Assault on Avdiivka
Russian terrorists began an active assault on Avdiivka back in October. During the offensive operation, terrorists suffer significant losses; however, they continue attacks, introducing new units into battle. Meanwhile, the destruction in Avdiivka has exceeded that in Bakhmut in scale.
Only in mid-November, according to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the losses of Russian terrorists amounted to about 10,000 soldiers in this direction.
