Kryvyi Rih was attacked by drones on the night of February 26. A Shahed drone struck a five-story residential building. As a result of the incident, a fire broke out, and one person was injured, according to the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, on Telegram.

“Kryvyi Rih. A Shahed hit a five-story residential building. As of now, there is one injured person with light injuries. The building’s structure is visibly damaged, with many broken windows,” Vilkul wrote.

He also added that a help center for people is being set up near the damaged building to assist residents. Building materials will be delivered within an hour.

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Region Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, added that a fire broke out in the city due to the enemy attack. He also clarified that the injured person is an 89-year-old man. Medics are providing him with all necessary assistance.

There is information about two injured people as a result of the attack on Kryvyi Rih. An 82-year-old woman sought medical help. Oleksandr Hanzha also showed photos from the city.

Recent attacks on Kryvyi Rih

Recently, Russians directed drones at Kryvyi Rih. As a result of enemy strikes, a single-story building and two passenger cars were damaged in the city.

On January 22, Russia carried out a record attack on Kryvyi Rih — the city was shelled with missiles and drones for more than 10 hours straight.

Residential neighborhoods and critical infrastructure facilities were hit. The enemy deliberately strikes civilian homes, schools, and social facilities.
