In Kyiv last night, after the air defense systems engaged enemy strike drones, debris from the downed aerial targets was reported to have fallen in several districts. There are no reports of possible casualties, according to Serhii Popko, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

Initially, the official reported that fragments of Shahed drones had fallen in the Pecherskyi district (on the right bank of the capital). Later, a similar situation was reported in the Dniprovskyi district (on the left bank).

In the first instance, the debris fell in the courtyard of a residential building, while in the second instance, it landed on the grounds of a kindergarten.

"As a result of the Russian drone strike in the Pecherskyi district of Kyiv, fragments have been found. Preliminary reports indicate they landed in the courtyard of a residential building," the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration stated in a post at 3:27 AM.

He later added that debris from enemy kamikaze drones was also detected in the Dnipro district of the city, preliminary on the grounds of a kindergarten.

Subsequently, the official clarified that a fire had erupted in the Pecherskyi district as a result of the Shahed attack. The fire was reported to have occurred in an open area, covering approximately 10 square meters.

"The State Emergency Service is working on the scene. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or significant damage. Details are being confirmed," Popko added.

At 04:11 AM, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported another fire in the Pecherskyi district caused by the fall of drone fragments. The administration added that this second fire occurred in an open area, covering approximately 20 square meters.

"The fire is being extinguished. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or significant damage," the Kyiv Regional Military Administration stated.

Nighttime Shahed attack

On the evening of September 6, the movement of Russian kamikaze drones towards Ukraine was detected. Consequently, air raid alerts were issued in several regions.

In the Kyiv region, air defense forces were active against the Shahed drones. Later, an air raid alert was also declared in Kyiv but was later canceled.

Additionally, explosions were reported near Mykolaiv due to the activities of air defense forces.
