Shahed attack: Explosions heard in Cherkasy

Several explosions were heard in the vicinity of Cherkasy on the night of March 26. The movement of enemy strike drones was detected heading toward the settlement, according to local communities and the Ukrainian Air Force.
At 4:03 a.m. Kyiv time, the military alerted the residents of Cherkasy about the movement of the enemy drones heading toward the city.
Earlier, around 3 a.m. Kyiv time, the Air Force informed about the detection of several groups of enemy drones in the Cherkasy region, which were constantly changing their course.
Cherkasy Telegram channels reported a series of explosions during the night, heard amidst a drone attack. There were also reports online about air defense systems operating in the region.
Monitoring groups indicated that Russian drones were spotted in the Uman district, with information about the movement of airborne targets towards Chyhyryn, Smila, Melnyky, Zolotonosha, Prydniprovske, and the detection of Shaheds near Cherkasy.
Meanwhile, local authorities did not provide any updates on the potential consequences of the enemy airstrike in Cherkasy city or the surrounding area.
Russian drone attack
It was reported by the Air Force on the evening of March 25 that the enemy launched strike drones toward Ukraine again. Shahed drones entered the country’s airspace from various directions.
Due to the threat of drone attacks, air raid alerts were issued in several regions of Ukraine.
It was also revealed that late on Tuesday evening, Russian forces launched a massive attack with Shahed drones on Kryvyi Rih. As a result of the attack, significant destruction occurred in the city.
