Russia launches massive drone attack on Zelenskyy's hometown amid ceasefire talks

Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region suffered an enemy air attack tonight, March 25, involving strike drones. A series of explosions was heard in the city, according to the head of the City Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul.
"Kryvyi Rih is under massive Shahed drone attack. At least 15 explosions are reported," he wrote.
Emergency services are currently working on strike sites, and more details about the consequences of the attack will be provided later.
"We understand everything, we're working. More detailed information will be available after the air raid alert is lifted," said Vilkul.
As of now, enemy kamikaze drones are no longer detected in the city's airspace, and the area is currently clear, he added.
At 10:12 PM Kyiv time, the Air Force of Ukraine reported the movement of enemy strike drones toward Kryvyi Rih from the south and urged residents to stay in shelters.
Shortly after, local social media channels began reporting explosions in the city, confirming that the drone attack was massive.
Previous attacks on Kryvyi Rih
Kryvyi Rih has frequently suffered from Russian aerial attacks, including missile strikes, Shahed drones, and guided bombs.
On March 12, Russian forces attacked the city with ballistic missiles, killing a woman on a trolleybus near the strike site. 15 others were injured, and one of the strikes hit the Druzhba Hotel, where volunteers from Ukraine, the US, and the UK were staying.
In early March, Russian forces also targeted Kryvyi Rih with Shahed drones, damaging industrial facilities and residential buildings.
