Among the thousands of Ukrainian villages, there are some so remote that not only tourists, but even mobile signal, fail to reach them. These are places where reed-thatched huts still stand, where neighbors have known each other since childhood, and where guests are welcomed like the event of the year.

There are villages in Ukraine with so few residents that they can be counted on one hand. No shops, no internet, no hotels - places untouched by tourism for decades.

These places feel frozen in time: old houses, empty streets, and a silence that even the 21st century hasn't broken.

Kotivka (Sumy region)

This village isn't just sparsely populated - it's nearly deserted. According to the most recent population census, only four people live here. It's located among forests near the Russian border.

There are no tourist routes, no shops or hotels - just a few homes disappearing into the greenery.

Tsymbalove (Poltava region)

This village in the Myrhorod district has just 10 residents. There’s one street, a handful of houses, and not a single tourist.

The nearest store is 8 kilometers away. Life here moves slowly, rooted in old village customs.

Petrivske (Donetsk region)

Petrivske is down to one street, and even postal services rarely reach it.

In fall 2014, the last resident left his home. By November 2015, the village council officially removed it from the register.

Zaitsivka (Kharkiv region)

A small village in the Bohodukhiv district, where only 10 people remain. There are no tourist routes, internet is unreliable, and locals live off the land.

Veherivka (Sumy region)

This village is on the verge of disappearing. According to recent data, just 10 people live here. Located in the Konotop district, it's now labeled a "historic area with no development prospects."

No new residents have arrived in decades; the youth have all left. All that remains are a few homes, gardens, and memories.

Kostiantynivka (Zhytomyr region)

In the village of Kostiantynivka, Berdychiv district, only a few households are left. The population stands at 10. No tourist has ever visited, and the highlight of the week is the postal van's visit.

Norytsia (Chernihiv region)

Located in a preserved part of the Polissia region, Norytsia looks like an open-air museum. It has 10 elderly residents who refused to relocate and continue to live a quiet rural life.
