Two people were killed, and 15 others were injured, including a child, in Russia's strike on the Zaporizhzhia region, reports Ivan Fedorov, head of the Regional Military Administration.

Aftermath of strike waged by Russia

Russian forces carried out seven strikes on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia region. The attacks damaged private homes.

Two civilians are currently known to have been killed.

Fifteen people, including one child, sustained injuries of varying severity. Relevant emergency services are working at the strike sites.

Situation in Zaporizhzhia and surrounding area

As reported, Russian forces continue to systematically attack the Zaporizhzhia region and the regional capital. Both civilian infrastructure and public transportation have been targeted.

In particular, on August 21, Russian forces struck a passenger minibus with a drone in Zaporizhzhia, injuring several people.

On August 19, Russian attacks caused power supply problems in the city and damaged residential buildings.

Meanwhile, Russian forces have stepped up drone assaults on other regions of Ukraine as well. On August 21, Russia struck a shopping mall in Kryvyi Rih with a drone, where a large number of people were present at the time.
