Ukrainian swimmer Oleksandr Komarov won a gold medal at the 2024 Paralympics. He set a new Paralympic record, according to the results of the competition.

Ukrainian swimmer Komarov took first place in the 100-meter freestyle in the S5 class (for swimmers with moderate coordination impairments, severely impaired movement in the torso and legs or missing limbs).
