In the Kursk region of Russia, yesterday's drone strike by the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) destroyed the air defense system's radar station Kasta, which detects air targets at extremely low altitudes, according to sources of RBC-Ukraine in the SSU.

"Thanks to the blow from the SSU, the Russian air defense system was slightly blinded," sources in the security service noted.

Yesterday, an SSU drone identified and eliminated the Russian radio station Kasta near the settlement of Hyrya in the Belovsky district of the Kursk region.

Interestingly, according to the Russian side's accounts, such a station can detect aircraft with "stealth" technology. However, the SBU drone somehow went unnoticed.

SSU's attack in the Kursk Region and the blackout

Earlier, sources of RBC-Ukraine in the SSU reported that on the night of September 28-29, the SBU arranged a new "blackout" for the Russians in the Kursk region. It targeted an electric substation connected to the adversary's critical military facilities.

This video shows how the drones accurately hit the target.

As noted by sources in the security agencies, if Russia continues to shell Ukrainian infrastructure objects, it will receive even more "cotton" in response.

Night explosions in the Kursk region

Last night, in the Kursk region of Russia, there was claimed a "massive drone attack." The local governor, Roman Starovoit, claimed that their air defense system supposedly shot down at least ten drones.

Moreover, in Russia, they also stated that one of the UAVs "dropped two explosive devices on the substation, and one of the transformers flared up."

As a result, five settlements and a hospital were left without electricity.

Previously, the sources of RBC-Ukraine in the SSU had already reported a "blackout" in the Kursk region of Russia organized by Ukrainian special services. This happened on September 26 when a drone dropped an explosive device on a substation in the village of Snagost. At that time, seven settlements were left without electricity.
