The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has identified another Russian military unit and identified its servicemen who were involved in atrocities against Ukrainian prisoners and the civilian population, citing the Security Service of Ukraine.

The special services noted that the new war crimes of the occupiers were exposed thanks to recently intercepted conversations of occupiers in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region.

In particular, special forces intercepted a phone interview with an occupier war correspondent from Bashkortostan (part of the Russian Federation). The occupant, using the call sign Raphael, is a serviceman of the 3rd Marat Safin Battalion (7th company, 36th regiment of the 25th army of the Russian Armed Forces, military unit 12274).

The female voice belongs to propagandist Guzel Kudasheva, who works for the Aurgazinsky Visnyk newspaper. According to the SBU, she regularly gathers materials for articles about compatriots who are fighting against Ukraine.

"Our Bashkir guys got drunk, caught a woman in the city, raped her, killed her, and burned the corpse," the terrorist recounts the activities of his battalion on the recording.

Kudasheva inquires about the details and learns that there were four rapists, and the Russian command ignores such cases of violence.

The occupier continues to share the exploits of Bashkir fighters, including how they torture and rape prisoners of war. However, the propagandist asks not to retell this story - the details are too gruesome.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) adds that the propagandist regularly publishes the most interesting events from the life of the occupiers' unit in the local newspaper and on her VKontakte page. However, there is no mention of war crimes by the Russian forces; only their heroic exploits are described.

The Security Service of Ukraine has already initiated a corresponding criminal case, meticulously documenting these crimes, identifying those involved, and taking comprehensive measures to hold them accountable for their actions.

War crimes by Russian occupiers in Ukraine

The Russian Federation consistently violates international law and laws and customs of war during the hostilities in Ukraine.

Recently, a video surfaced online showing Russian occupiers executing two Ukrainian military personnel who had surrendered. Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets announced his intention to appeal to the UN and the Red Cross.

On April 11, 2023, a video emerged online depicting Russian occupiers brutally executing a Ukrainian serviceman.

On March 6, a video circulated on social media showing Russians shooting a Ukrainian prisoner of war, Oleksandr Matsiyevsky, after he uttered the words Glory to Ukraine.

Ukraine has documented over 110,000 violations by Russian occupiers of laws and customs of war.
