On the night of July 4, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Kyiv, according to Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

As a result of the shelling in the Solomianskyi district of the capital, residential buildings are on fire.

The exact number of impacts and the extent of the damage are being clarified, with information updated in real time.

Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or injuries so far; however, rescuers and utility services continue working at the impact sites.

Authorities once again urged Kyiv residents not to ignore air raid alerts, to immediately go to shelters, and to remain there until the official all-clear is given.

"Once again, the Russian forces prove their status as terrorists and criminals. Take care of yourselves — tonight will be long and difficult. Our defenders are doing everything possible to minimize the consequences," wrote Tymur Tkachenko.

Later, he added that a drone fell in the Darnytskyi district without detonating.

The Russian army regularly attacks Kyiv and its surrounding region with drones and missiles, attempting to destroy critical infrastructure and intimidate the civilian population.

Indeed, the air raid alert in Kyiv has been ongoing since the early evening of July 3. During this time, residents of the capital have repeatedly heard the sounds of drones, air defense activity, and explosions.

At the same time, the Russian authorities deny that during the full-scale war, the Russian military deliberately targets civilian infrastructure in Ukrainian cities and villages, destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, and energy and water supply facilities.
