Security Service issues statement after brazen Russian attack: Response will be painful

Ukraine will respond to Russia's drone strike on the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) building in Kyiv. The response will be painful, according to the SBU press service.
The SBU recalled that the drone deliberately targeted the office of acting SBU chief Oleksandr Poklad. However, the Russians failed to achieve their goal – Poklad was not injured.
"As for the damaged building, it will definitely be restored. And the Russians will receive a painful response to their strikes – more special operations, exposed agent networks and eliminated enemies," the Security Service added.
Strike on central Kyiv
Russian forces attacked central Kyiv today, September 4, using an attack drone. The drone struck the SBU building.
As of now, 12 people are known to have been injured as a result of the Russian strike. Nine of them were hospitalized, with some suffering serious injuries.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was the first to officially report the strike on the SBU building. He made the statement after speaking with Poklad.
The Ukrainian president also said he had already agreed with the acting SBU chief on the geography of the response to the latest Russian attacks.

Russia has changed its strike tactics, and recently the enemy has been continuously attacking Kyiv and the region with jet-powered drones that are difficult to intercept.
