A second high-profile car incident has occurred in Russia in a single day. After a morning explosion in Balashikha, a new emergency took place in southwestern Moscow, according to Russian Telegram channels.

According to Astra, the incident occurred in a parking lot on Vvedensky Street in the Konkovo district. The area around the scene was cordoned off by law enforcement officers and emergency services.

The explosion was also reported by the Telegram channel Ostorozhno, Moskva and the outlet MSK1. The cause of the incident was still unknown at that time.

According to Baza, after the explosion in the parking lot, people were evacuated from nearby shops. Traffic in the area was temporarily suspended.

Later, the Moscow news agency published a revised version of the incident. According to it, the vehicle’s engine compartment caught fire, and the blaze was quickly extinguished.

There is currently no information about any injured or killed individuals.

On the morning of June 9, a BMW X3 exploded in Balashikha, a town near Moscow. The driver was killed on the spot, and Russian media reported that the victim may have been a 62-year-old Russian army lieutenant general, although his identity was not officially confirmed.

The incident took place in the Aviatorov district, where many Russian military personnel live. According to media reports, the explosion occurred shortly after the driver got into the car.
