Sea drones attack Yalta port in occupied Crimea as massive fire breaks out

On the afternoon of August 7, gunfire was heard in occupied Yalta. According to eyewitnesses, the local port was being attacked by sea drones, Crimean Wind reported.
"Something is burning intensely in the waterfront area of Yalta after the gunfire, subscribers report. There was no explosion. It may be the result of the work of mobile fire groups," the report said.
In addition, it was reported that the Russian authorities had earlier warned the city's residents about the danger posed by uncrewed surface vessels.
After that, an emergency evacuation of people from beaches and waterfront areas took place.
"Attention! An operation to defuse an uncrewed surface vessel is underway in Yalta. We ask all residents and visitors to the city to urgently leave the Primorsky Park area," Russian authorities said in a statement.

Later, videos and photos of a massive fire in the port area began appearing on social media.
On the night of August 7, the Hvardiiske military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea was engulfed in massive fires following a series of powerful explosions.
A little later, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strikes and revealed the list of targets that had been successfully attacked.
