SBU stops Russian agent's bombing attempt near Dnipro administrative building

The counterintelligence unit of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has prevented a large-scale terrorist attack in the frontline city of Dnipro, the SBU press service reports.
Due to a complex operation, a Russian agent was detained while planning to blow up an administrative building belonging to one of the law enforcement agencies in the city center.
According to investigators, the 29-year-old woman from Vinnytsia, a former drug addict, came to the attention of Russian intelligence services while looking for "easy money" on Telegram.
After being recruited, she was sent to Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region, where she received a homemade explosive device.
She later moved to Dnipro, rented an apartment, and conducted surveillance near the intended target. She created a cache for the explosive and transmitted its coordinates to her handlers.
The plan was for another operative to retrieve the device, plant it near the law enforcement building, and detonate it.
The SBU intercepted the threat in time - the explosive device was located and eliminated, and the woman was arrested while attempting to flee the city.
She was detained at a checkpoint while trying to take a bus to Odesa.
What suspect faces
The woman has been formally charged with preparing a terrorist act in collusion with others (Part 1 of Article 14, Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The suspect faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Earlier, SBU operatives had exposed a Russian agent in Ukraine's Defense Forces. The man was allegedly preparing to assist a Russian breakthrough in the Kharkiv region.
Recently, Ukraine's Security Service also arrested an FSB agent in Kyiv who was working as an employee of the central office of NABU. According to RBC-Ukraine sources, the individual in question is Viktor Husarov.
Furthermore, NABU reported uncovering an SBU official involved in a record-breaking bribery case. The bureau released case materials concerning an SBU officer suspected of demanding $300,000 in exchange for destroying part of a criminal case related to smuggling military-age men abroad.
