SBU attack on Ivanovo Russian airbase: At least one A-50 aircraft destroyed

As a result of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Operation Spiderweb, at least one A-50 long-range radar surveillance aircraft was destroyed at the Russian Ivanovo airbase, according to the Geoint public channel, which specializes in geospatial data analysis.
It is noted that a satellite image confirms the destruction of at least one A-50 AEW&C aircraft.
"High definition satellites are suspected to have captured multiple damaged early warning aircraft at Ivanovo Severniy Air Force Base (with signs of damage still visible on the apron) from Mizarvision," the report says.
Operation Spiderweb
On June 1, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) carried out Operation Spiderweb, which had been in the planning stages for over a year and a half. SBU drones targeted several Russian airbases simultaneously. The UAVs struck four military bases: Belaya, Dyagilevo, Olenya, and Ivanovo.
According to SBU head Vasyl Malyuk, the drone strikes hit 41 Russian strategic aviation aircraft, including A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22M3, and Tu-160 models.
In total, about 34% of Russia's strategic cruise missile carriers based at primary airfields were affected. The estimated value of the damaged strategic aviation is around $7 billion.
Aviation expert Valerii Romanenko noted that during Operation Spiderweb, the SBU targeted operational Russian aircraft, a third of which were destroyed. As a result, large-scale missile attacks on Ukraine are unlikely in the near future.
