What the satellite image showed
The daytime image shows that the fire destroyed nearly 30,000 square meters of the warehouse, roughly one-fifth of the entire complex.
Drone impact marks are also visible on the roof in other parts of the building, suggesting that the damage inside could be even more extensive.

According to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, the warehouse became the 21st logistics center in Russia damaged or destroyed as a result of Ukrainian attacks since July 18.
What is known about the strike
On the night of August 13, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Wildberries complex in Bashkortostan’s Chishminsky District. The site is home to one of the Russian marketplace’s major logistics hubs, used to store, sort and distribute goods.
That same day, one of the country’s largest oil refineries in Bashkortostan also caught fire. To reach the facility, Ukrainian drones had to fly approximately 1,400 km.
It is worth noting that Ukraine’s Defense Forces have been systematically targeting Wildberries warehouses deep inside Russia.
According to estimates by analysts at Data Insight, at least 12 major warehouse complexes have been almost completely destroyed, while the company has lost around one-third of its warehouse capacity. The total losses are estimated at billions of dollars.
Amid the attacks, the marketplace’s owner is urgently looking for warehouse facilities in Kazakhstan.
