At least two tanks are ablaze at the Marine Oil Terminal in occupied Feodosia after a successful Ukrainian drone strike, according to Schemes (Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty) and the commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi.

The aftermath of the strike on the oil depot

According to the outlet, Planet Labs satellite images from April 8 captured plumes of smoke and flames at the site of a key fuel facility in Crimea.

As of 12:00, the large fire was still ongoing. Analysis of the images suggests that tanks that had survived previous strikes by Ukraine’s Defense Forces are now burning.

Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdi (callsign "Madyar") confirmed the successful operation.

"Burning weeds around fuel tanks at the Marine Oil Terminal in Feodosia on Maundy Thursday was carried out by Ukrainian freedom-loving Birds of the 9th Battalion Kairos of the 414th Brigade Magyar’s Birds," Brovdi wrote.

The Russian side has not yet commented on the latest strike on the terminal.

Strikes on Russian logistics in Crimea

Recently, Ukraine’s Defense Forces have significantly intensified strikes on strategic targets of Russia on the peninsula.

In particular, it was reported today that drones of the Unmanned Systems Forces not only attacked the oil depot but also hit several Russian military assets, including the rare Zoopark-1M radar system and ammunition depots.

In addition, Ukrainian intelligence (HUR) recently destroyed the last railway ferry Slavyanin, which had been used to supply Russian forces via the Kerch Strait. This has effectively cut off the main rail supply route for equipment and fuel to Russian forces in Crimea.

Western media have also noted that Ukraine has, for the first time during the war, surpassed Russia in the number of kamikaze drones used, allowing it to systematically destroy Russia's rear infrastructure.
