Ukraine last month surpassed Russia in the number of drone attacks for the first time since the start of the full-scale war. At the same time, both countries increased their use of drones and missiles, according to ABC News.

The report says that, based on data from Russia’s Defense Ministry, its air defenses shot down 7,347 Ukrainian drones in March — an average of 237 per day. It notes that these figures refer to intercepted drones, while the total number of drones launched by Ukraine remains unknown.

The outlet also reported that, according to Ukraine’s Air Force, more than 6,462 Russian drones and 138 missiles of various types were shot down last month. Of these, 5,833 drones and 102 missiles were neutralized or intercepted.

ABC News noted that in March, Russia set a new record for the scale of air attacks, using around 6,600 drones and missiles. The most intense strike took place on March 24, when Russian forces launched 948 drones and 34 missiles at Ukraine.

At the same time, the outlet suggests that last month’s data may indicate a potential shift in the balance of power in Ukraine’s favor. It concludes that Kyiv’s long-term efforts to develop drones and missiles are beginning to show results.

Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to destroy enemy logistics and weapons systematically. In particular, it was recently reported that Russia lost 54 air defense systems as a result of operations by Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces.

Last month, Ukrainian defenders demonstrated record efficiency — the Defense Ministry said the number of enemy targets hit in March exceeded 151,000.
