New satellite images have revealed the condition of the bridge over the North Crimean Canal following a recent attack. Russian forces had been using it for military logistics, according to the Schemes investigative project of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

Journalists published a June 23 Planet Labs satellite image, showing the condition of the railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal following strikes carried out on June 22 and 23.

The released satellite imagery shows visible changes around the bridge crossing compared with images taken before the attack. Structural damage can be seen on the bridge itself, along with signs of destruction in the surrounding area.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces reported that they had struck the facility near the village of Rozdolne in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The military described the bridge as a "strategic military logistics artery for the occupiers."

According to the Special Operations Forces, the bridge was part of a transport corridor used by Russian forces to move cargo, resources, and military equipment.

In particular, the bridge served as a key supply line for the Russian military grouping on the southern front, utilizing a route that runs from mainland Russia through Crimea. The bridge was also an important component of internal logistics on the peninsula and helped support Russia's military infrastructure in occupied Crimea.

The published satellite images provide an opportunity to assess the impact of the strike on one of the key logistics facilities used by Russian forces in the occupied territory.

As previously reported, Ukraine's Special Operations Forces announced on the night of June 23 that they had destroyed the railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal in Crimea.

According to the military, the bridge was used by Russian forces to transport resources and maintain logistics operations on the southern front.
