Сase of former head of 'Naftogaz' referred to court, and preventive measure extended
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has sent an indictment to court in the case against the former CEO of "Naftogaz" Andriy Kobolev, according to SAP.
The NABU reported that on November 29, based on the materials of the pre-trial investigation, an indictment was sent to the court regarding the former head of the board of NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine."
He is accused of abusing his official position.
In addition, on November 30, the panel of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court, during the preparatory court session, granted the prosecutor's motion and extended the term of the duties imposed on the accused due to the application of bail.
Kobolev's case
On January 10, 2023, the former head of the board of NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine," Andriy Kobolev, was charged. The investigation alleges that Kobolev received a bonus of UAH 229 million more than allowed by law.
In April, the former head of "Naftogaz" was ordered to wear an electronic bracelet. However, on September 25, the High Anti-Corruption Court canceled this decision and reduced the bail amount.
It is worth noting that the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported that it, together with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), has completed the investigation in this case.
