Russia's losses in Ukraine as of July 31: +1,070 troops and 16 artillery systems

As of the morning of July 31, 2025, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released updated statistics on the total combat losses of Russian forces in the war against Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to July 31, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 1,053,260 (+1,070) Russian troops were eliminated
- tanks - 11,067 (+1)
- troop-carrying AFVs - 23,066 (+1)
- artillery systems - 30,911 (+16)
- MLRS - 1,451
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,203 (+1)
- aircraft - 421
- helicopters - 340
- UAV operational-tactical level - 48,894 (+209) units
- cruise missiles - 3,548
- warships/boats - 28
- submarines - 1
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 56,822 (+68) units
- special equipment - 3,935.
The General Staff emphasizes that the data is being updated, as fighting continues along dozens of front-line directions. The enemy continues to suffer heavy losses in both equipment and personnel, particularly in the Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, and Kharkiv directions.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, more than 150 combat engagements were recorded on the front line over the past day. In the Pokrovsk sector alone, Russian forces attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 49 times.
