Russians want to capture Chasiv Yar, fighting in Ivanivske and Bohdanivka ongoing - Ukrainian Armed Forces

Occupying forces seek to capture the town of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region. Battles are ongoing in the populated areas of Ivanivske and Bohdanivka, according to the spokesperson for the Eastern Military Group, Illia Yevlash.
"Enemy forces are advancing in the Bakhmut direction, pushing towards the areas of Ivanivske and Bohdanivka. The enemy is already engaged in combat within the city. They are actively deploying reserves and heavy equipment there. Drone strikes are being conducted," he noted.
Yevlash added that Ukrainian forces are holding back the enemy's advance.
According to him, the occupiers aim to expand their offensive towards Chasiv Yar and seize it.

According to Yevlash, fortifications have been erected near Chasiv Yar, and several defense lines have been constructed. Minefields, both anti-tank and anti-personnel, have also been laid out in threatening directions.
Frontline situation
Currently, Russian occupiers have intensified assaults on the front line. Specifically, they have seized Avdiivka and some neighboring villages. However, Defense Forces have ousted the enemy from Orlivka and Krasnohorivka in eastern Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces anticipate the spring weather will impact the front line, particularly by flooding trenches and slowing down equipment. However, they believe that this time can be used to reinforce defenses.
