Russia strikes Sloviansk: Residential building destroyed

A fire broke out in Sloviansk as a result of a Russian strike. The fire destroyed a residential building, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin.
Russians struck Sloviansk, causing a large-scale fire. The fire engulfed a residential building, which was destroyed.
Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire, despite the danger of repeated attacks.
There is no information about the victims.
Situation in region
The situation in other districts of Donetsk region also remains tense. One person was wounded in Pokrovsk as a result of shelling.
In Kostiantynivka, Russian troops damaged a private house and an infrastructure facility. In Siversk in Bakhmut district, 10 houses were damaged by Russian strikes.

According to local authorities, Russian troops fired a total of five times at settlements in Donetsk region over the past day.
5,846 people, including 19 children, were evacuated from the frontline areas.
Russian attacks on Sloviansk
On January 27, Russian troops attacked the Sloviansk civilian infrastructure.
On January 3, Russian troops attacked the private sector of Sloviansk with a guided aerial bomb, injuring 4 people, including a two-year-old child.
On the night of October 31, 2024, Russia struck Kramatorsk and Sloviansk. In Kramatorsk, an industrial area was damaged, and in Sloviansk, a plant was damaged.
