Russians strike residential building in Kharkiv region: Casualties reported
On January 8, Russian troops shelled a residential building in Zmiiv, Chuhuiv district, Kharkiv region. Three people were trapped under the rubble, and two of them have already been rescued, according to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, and the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.
"At about 07:00, the enemy fired on the town of Zmiiv, Chuhuiv district. A private house was damaged," says Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
According to Syniehubov, two men, aged 90 and 60, were pulled out of the rubble.
"One more woman remains under the rubble," adds the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
Rescue of the victims
The police showed the moment when the State Emergency Service rescued a person from the rubble in Zmiiv, Kharkiv region. A total of 2 people were rescued.
"Rescuers continue the search operation. According to preliminary information, one more person may remain under the rubble of the house," says Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.
A victim was rescued from the rubble
At about 10:30 a.m., the State Emergency Service completed search and rescue operations at the site of an enemy attack in Zmiiv, Chuhuiv district.
"Rescuers pulled the body of a 63-year-old woman from the rubble of a private house," the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine says.
