Russian troops shelled the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson on Friday, January 5. The attack caused a warehouse with humanitarian aid to catch fire, injuring four people, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, and the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

"A missile hit a residential building, and a fire broke out in a warehouse where humanitarian aid was stored," the Regional Military Administration said in a statement.

Four injured

A 69-year-old woman was injured and refused hospitalization.

"Three residents of Kherson - 22, 23, and 46 years old - turned to the hospital. Doctors are currently conducting examinations and providing assistance to the victims," the Kherson Regional Military Administration adds.

Russian shelling of Kherson

Russian troops have been shelling Kherson and the right bank of the Kherson region even after the Ukrainian defense forces regained control of these settlements in the fall of 2022 after the complete seizure of the region by Russia in February 2022.

For example, on December 26, the Russians shelled the railway station in Kherson. A 29-year-old police officer from the Kirovohrad region was killed. In addition, two police officers of the Kherson region and two civilians were injured.

On the night of January 5, the Russian army attacked the Vysoke village of the Tyahynka community with three Shaheds. A modular town came under fire, and 7 people were injured.
