Russians strike evacuation train in Kherson: Details
Russian occupants today, on December 26, struck the railway station in Kherson. The evacuation train came under fire.

During the preparation of the material, sources included: the evening statement from President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Telegram channel of Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways), and the Telegram channel of Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.
"Just had a report about the shelling in Kherson. A Russian strike on the railway station. An evacuation train. All services are currently on-site, and the number of casualties is being determined," the head of state shared.
According to him, many civilians were present at the attack site. Updates on the situation will be provided by the respective services.
The first consequences named by Ukrzaliznytsia
According to Ukrzaliznytsia's information, the railway station and rolling stock were damaged due to the shelling in Kherson.
As of now, there is information about several injured employees. Passengers are taking cover.
Moreover, Ukrzaliznytsia has specified their intent to transfer people to buses at the station square to head to Mykolaiv once the situation stabilizes. Additionally, reserve carriages are being prepared to transport over 100 passengers to a safe location.
The first fatality
As noted by Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, a police lieutenant from the Kirovohrad region was killed as a result of the railway station shelling. He suffered fatal injuries during the evacuation of people.
Additionally, according to the official, two more police officers sustained shrapnel wounds and have been hospitalized.
Two civilians were also injured, sustaining shrapnel wounds.
Klymenko added that there were approximately 140 people at the station when the shelling began.

The Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, showed the appearance of the railway station in the first few minutes after the Russian strike.

Today, on December 26, the Russians have been intensively shelling Kherson. The enemy's attacks have persisted for several hours.
As of now, it's known that at least three people have been injured as a result of the strikes.
