Russians strike drone on recreation base in Mykolaiv region, fire erupts
Russian forces launched a drone kamikaze attack on the Mykolaiv region in the evening of January 6. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out, according to Vitalii Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, on Telegram, and the Forces of Defense of the South on Telegram.
As Kim noted, on the evening of January 6, the enemy's Shahed hit the recreational zone, resulting in a fire at one of the decommissioned holiday bases.
The fire was promptly extinguished, and no one was harmed as a result of the attack.
The Forces of Defense in the south of Ukraine report that 11 kamikaze drones were downed in their responsibility zone overnight. The attacks and combat operations lasted for approximately 6 hours.
In the Mykolaiv region, 5 kamikaze drones were downed during the night, while in the Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk regions, 2 each were downed, and in the Kirovohrad and Vinnytsia regions, 1 each was downed.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that overnight, invaders released 28 kamikaze drones over Ukraine, with 21 of them being shot down by air defense forces.
Additionally, the enemy launched three guided S-300 anti-aircraft missiles from temporarily occupied areas of the Donetsk region.
In Dnipro, a residential building was attacked late in the evening. Rescuers saved 6 people from the rubble, including two children. The State Emergency Service (DSNS) shared photos of the Russian attack.
