Russian army targeted Ukraine with Shaheds and missiles
On the evening of January 6 and during the night of January 7, the Russians launched strike UAVs and guided S-300 anti-aircraft missiles in the direction of our country. Defenders shot down most of the enemy targets, but not without incoming attacks, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the night of Sunday, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 28 Shahed-136/131 drones from the area of Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Defense Forces destroyed 21 UAVs.
Additionally, the enemy launched three guided S-300 missiles from the temporarily occupied areas of the Donetsk region.
The main directions of the attacks were the South and the East. The air defense worked within the borders of Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, and Cherkasy regions.
Shahed attacks on January 6-7
On the evening of Saturday, January 6, Air Defense Forces in the Dnipropetrovsk region destroyed 7 enemy drones.
As a result of the attack, a building where 22 families lived was damaged. Rescuers saved 6 people from the rubble, including two children. The State Emergency Service (SES) shared photos of the aftermath of the Russian attack.
Moreover, the aggressor launched S-300 missiles at the settlements in the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region. Over 10 people, including children, lost their lives.
