Russian forces have shelled around ten settlements in the Donetsk region over the past day. As a result of the enemy attacks, three people have been killed, according to the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko.

The situation on various fronts

  • On the Volnovakha front, Russian forces shelled Bohoyavlenka thrice and Vuhledar 23 times using artillery.
  • On the Horlivka front, in the Toretsk community, dry grass on a 4-hectare field caught fire due to shelling.
  • On the Lysychansk front, a building in Zvanivka and Sivesk was damaged.

Casualties of Russian shelling

According to Kyrylenko, two people were killed in Zarichne of the Lyman community. Additionally, one person was killed in the Chasiv Yar community, and two buildings and two industrial structures were damaged.

"One person was injured in Mykolaivka of the Kostyantynivka community," the statement reads.

The head of the region added that one person was injured in Kurakhivka. Isolated shelling was recorded in Avdiivka and Krasnohorivka. Over the past day, a total of 10 people were injured.

Shelling in the Donetsk region

Russian forces opened fire on cities and villages in the Donetsk region daily. Settlements near the front line and even relatively farther away are constantly under attack. That's why people are urged to evacuate to safer areas of Ukraine.

During a recent meeting of the Coordination Staff, a decision was made to expand the forced evacuation of children in the region. An additional nine communities expanded the list of settlements subject to evacuation.

The occupiers attacked the city of Pokrovsk the day before yesterday. As a result, nine people were killed, and 82 others were injured.
