Russians shell 'Points of Invincibility' in Chasiv Yar, Donetsk: Casualties reported
On August 18th, Russian forces shelled the "Points of Invincibility" (a special shelter where citizens can come in case of a long power outage -Ed.) in Chasiv Yar city (the Donetsk region). As a result of the enemy attack, four people were injured, according to the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Attack details
The Russian occupying army, presumably using artillery, shelled the town of Chasiv Yar. Enemy projectiles targeted a residential quarter in the city center, near the "Points of Invincibility" where local residents usually receive humanitarian aid, charge their phones, and more.
The explosions from enemy projectiles caused fires in two apartment buildings. Additionally, a park and neighboring residential buildings were damaged, with windows, doors, roofs, and balconies being shattered and destroyed.
Victims of the strike
"As a result of the mentioned shelling, two women aged 73 and 76 who were outside at the time, as well as a 72-year-old man, suffered physical injuries. The man with multiple shrapnel wounds was hospitalized," as stated in the report.

It is noted that among the injured is a 67-year-old worker from the humanitarian headquarters.
Law enforcement agencies are conducting a pre-trial investigation in a criminal case regarding the violation of laws and customs of war.
Shelling in the Donetsk кegion
Settlements in the Donetsk region experience daily shelling from Russian occupiers. Both frontline cities and villages in the region suffer, as well as those located in the relative rear.
Recently, during the night, Sloviansk in the Donetsk region came under attack. The attack resulted in damage to a factory.
Russian military also shelled Kramatorsk using the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system. As a result of the enemy attack, two people were killed, and another was injured.
