Russian forces attacked a residential building in Orikhiv, the Zaporizhzhia region, three times. As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out, which was promptly extinguished by rescuers, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"On August 6, due to the shelling, a fire broke out in a nine-story residential building in Orikhiv. The fire affected apartments from the 1st to the 9th floor of the multi-story building, covering an area of 1400 square meters," the statement said.

Furthermore, when rescuers extinguished the fire, the occupiers launched repeated shelling. The work was suspended and resumed after the attack was over. The fire was destroyed, and there were no casualties.

However, on the night of August 7, the occupiers attacked the city again. As a result of enemy aggression, a fire broke out again in a multi-story building, affecting apartments from the 1st to the 2nd floor. The area of the fire was 200 square meters. Rescuers promptly extinguished the fire.

Shelling of Orikhiv

Russian forces regularly shell the city, causing suffering to the civilian population. For instance, on July 10, emergency and rescue operations were completed at the site of a Russian airstrike in Orikhiv. As a result, seven people were killed.

Three days later, the occupiers shelled Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region again. As a result of the enemy attack, one person was killed.
