Russian occupiers shelled the Donetsk region. As a result of the attack, 2 people were killed, and 7 others were wounded, according to the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the statement, over the night, the occupiers once again attacked residential areas in the Donetsk region. Residential quarters in Kurakhove came under enemy fire.

"At the epicenter of the explosions was a farm where two guards aged 44 and 59 were killed. Also, cattle were injured. The explosions damaged residential buildings and farm facilities," the prosecutor's office added.

Consequences of the shelling

The head of the Kurakhove military administration, Roman Padun, informed Suspilne that the debris in Kurakhove had been cleared.

"As a result of the missile attack, one person was killed, and 8 others were injured. A missile directly hit a multi-story building. The fifth and fourth floors of the building were destroyed," he said.

The law enforcement officials also reported that the Russian army, presumably using S-300 missile systems, also shelled the village of Bohatyr in the Volnovakha district.

Situation in the Donetsk region

Russian military forces fire on cities and villages in the Donetsk region every day. Frontline settlements in the region, including those in relative rear areas, are constantly under attack.

Earlier, Russian forces shelled Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, and Toretsk in the Donetsk region. As a result of the enemy's attack, 4 people were injured.

Russians already shelled the city of Kurakhove in the Donetsk region last week. 4 people were injured as a result of that enemy attack.
