On Monday, October 6, the Russian army launched a massive strike with guided aerial bombs on Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, and the Air Force.

According to the Air Force, at around 10 a.m., the Russians launched guided bombs in the direction of Zaporizhzhia. An alert had already been issued in the region due to the threat, and locals were asked to take shelter.

Almost immediately, Fedorov reported explosions in the Zaporizhzhia region. A few minutes later, he warned of repeated explosions in the region.

The Air Force wrote that the enemy had again launched guided aerial bombs at Zaporizhzhia.

According to Fedorov, the enemy struck Zaporizhzhia, with explosions heard in several areas.

“Preliminary, no casualties at this time,” he said.

According to preliminary reports, one person was injured during the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia.

“A woman has just sought medical assistance,” said Fedorov.

Fedorov reported that the Russians had attacked the territory of one of the enterprises in Zaporizhzhia.

“No casualties at this time. Information on the consequences of the attack is being clarified,” he wrote.

On the night of October 5, Russian troops again carried out a combined attack on Zaporizhzhia, using drones and aerial bombs. At least ten strikes hit the city.

As a result of the attack, buildings caught fire, residential buildings were damaged, and water and electricity supplies were temporarily cut off. According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, eight high-rise buildings, eight private houses, and several non-residential buildings were destroyed in the morning, and one of the residential buildings was partially destroyed.

Nine people were injured and one person was killed as a result of the attack in Zaporizhzhia. Tens of thousands of people were left without electricity as a result of the attack.
