Russians fail to capture Chasiv Yar completely - Ukrainian Armed Forces

Russian troops do not fully control the city of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region. Partial control does not yield any results, according to Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the operational-strategic group Dnipro.
"If they had full control over all of Chasiv Yar, it would give them a free road to Kostiantynivka and the opportunity to advance further, take the heights, and move towards Kostiantynivka. Since their control over Chasiv Yar is not complete, despite what Putin said at the meeting with Lukashenko, they cannot use it," noted the spokesperson.
As Trehubov explained, the same is happening in Toretsk, where the Russians do not control the entire city territory.
"The same story with incomplete control over the city of Toretsk, where they have taken a significant part but cannot pass through the city and move further. Therefore, they now dream of advancing towards Kostiantynivka from the Pokrovske direction," he said.

Fighting for Chasiv Yar
The fighting for Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region has been ongoing for a long time. The city ended up on the line of contact after the Russians captured Bakhmut.
Previously, on August 1, Russian leader Vladimir Putin, live on air, claimed the alleged occupation of Chasiv Yar. The Ukrainian Forces refuted Russia’s statements about Chasiv Yar. The frontline in the city has remained largely unchanged for months.
