The Russian invaders entered several houses in a cottage complex near Avdiivka. However, there are currently no street battles in the city, according to Vitalii Barabash, head of the Avdiivka city military administration.

"I do not confirm the information about the advances in the city and street fighting in Avdiivka. The fact that they entered the suburban area near the city is true. But this is not a city building, these are not city streets," he says.

Situation near Avdiivka

Since the beginning of October, Russian invaders have been actively assaulting the Avdiivka area. They are trying to surround the city and occupy it.

At the same time, Ukrainian defenders are holding the line and inflicting huge losses on the enemy. According to the head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov, the losses of the Russian occupiers in their attempts to capture Avdiivka have increased significantly recently. But he did not name specific figures.

The Institute for War Studies reports that Russian invaders advanced in the area of Avdiivka, while the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back enemy attacks on the left bank of the Kherson region. Positional fighting continues in the Kupiansk direction, near Kreminna and Bakhmut, as well as in the west of the Zaporizhzhia region.

As previously reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, repelled Russian attacks near Avdiivka, and destroyed three enemy ammunition depots.
