Russians deprive Ukrainians in occupation of their rights if they do not obtain Russian passport
As of January 1, 2025, Russians have stripped Ukrainians in occupied territories of all rights if they have not obtained Russian passports. Among other restrictions, people are denied access to medications, reports the National Resistance Center (NRC).
The information resource provides an example of how life has changed for people in temporarily occupied territories starting from today. From now on, the category of Ukrainians who previously received medications through subsidies will no longer be able to do so. Medicines will have to be purchased, which presents a significant problem. Those most affected are people with cardiovascular diseases, asthma, and diabetes.
"However, it is almost impossible to buy essential medicines in the occupied territories. Even if you are lucky enough to get them, the prices are two or even three times higher than the market price," the statement reads.
It was previously reported by the National Resistance Center (NRC) in December that starting from January 2025, Russia would restrict the rights of people in occupied territories without Russian passports, including their access to healthcare, employment, and social benefits.
Additionally, we wrote that the Russians are searching for ownerless land plots in the occupied part of the Kherson region. These plots belong to landowners who fled the area due to Russian forces. The enemy plans to sell these lands.
