Russians cynically blame Ukrainian air defense for Kostiantynivka market shelling

Russian troops today, September 6, launched an attack on Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region, resulting in the deaths of many people. Propagandists hastily began accusing the Ukrainian armed forces of this, according to the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security.
"Russian propagandists did not hesitate to react - they maliciously and cynically accused Ukraine of the attack. They claimed that the Ukrainian air defense system was in operation, but the missile followed an unpredictable trajectory or hit something in the sky right over the market," the statement reads.
It is noted that such a false version was put forward by Kremlin loyalists Vladimir Solovyov and Vladislav Pozdnyakov.
This is not the first time such incidents have occurred. It is mentioned that propagandists attempted to "defend" the Russian army in a similar manner after the strike on a residential building in Dnipro on January 14. Other propagandist Telegram channels have adopted a similar narrative.
"However, they provide no evidence that Ukrainian air defense was responsible for the deaths of dozens of victims. It's not surprising, as it was indeed a Russian missile that hit peaceful Ukrainians," added the Center.
Shelling of Kostiantynivka
Today, Russian occupiers shelled Kostiantynivka. As a result of today's attack, 16 people were killed, and 31 others were injured.
According to preliminary data from the administration, 20 stores, power lines, an administrative building, and the 5th floor of a residential building were damaged. Several cars and 8 commercial properties were completely destroyed.
