The Russians are gradually retreating from the outskirts of Pokrovsk. This concerns positions located to the west of the city, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing Viktor Trehubov, Spokesperson of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group of Ukrainian troops.

"This concerns the positions to the west of the city. The ones where they had been crawling out since March, if not since the end of February," Trehubov said.

According to the Ukrainian military, Russian occupiers were very actively trying to advance precisely to cut off the highway from the Dnipropetrovsk region - from Pavlohrad to Pokrovsk, but the enemy failed to do so.

"There was a slight turning point when the Ukrainians recaptured Kotlyne, and now the Russians are very slowly, but pulling back from there, from the western outskirts of the city closer to the southern ones, from where they had begun their advance," Trehubov stated.

Situation in Pokrovsk direction

Over the past day in the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian forces repelled 39 Russian assaults.

The enemy was stopped in the areas of the settlements of Sukha Balka, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka, and Rozlyv.

Considering that a total of 96 combat clashes took place along the front line in a day, the Pokrovsk sector is considered the hottest area of the front.

We should add that RBC-Ukraine recently reported that Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction are being forced to retreat because they have suffered significant losses. The Khortytsia operational-strategic group noted that an entire unit of motorcycles was even sent into an assault, and it was completely destroyed.
