Russian forces have shelled the Odesa region with ballistic missiles, resulting in the deaths of four people and injuring 10 others, according to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.

"The enemy attacked the Odesa region with ballistic missiles. Four people, including a teenager, were killed," he said.

According to the head of the administration, the attack in the Odesa district hit a two-story building where civilians lived and worked.

"There's people trapped under the rubble. Rescuers from the State Emergency Service saved four people, but unfortunately, three others died beneath the debris. Among the dead were a 43-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man, and a 16-year-old girl. Another woman succumbed to her injuries at the hospital," Kiper said.

Additionally, 10 people sustained injuries, with nine of them hospitalized.

"Four people are in serious condition. Ten individuals received psychological assistance at the scene," the regional head said.

Shelling of Odesa

Russian forces have increased the frequency of attacks on Odesa and its surrounding areas in recent weeks.

On October 9, Russian occupiers launched a missile strike on the Odesa region, targeting port infrastructure. A civilian vessel flying the Panamanian flag, the container ship Shui Spirit, was damaged. Initially, it was reported that five people had been killed and eight wounded. Later, the death toll rose to six. By October 10, the number of fatalities from the missile strike on the Odesa region had increased, with a wounded man succumbing to his injuries in the hospital.

Russian forces also attacked Odesa with drones and ballistic missiles on the night of October 6. During the missile strike, a ship was damaged.
