Over the past day, Russian forces have conducted 87 strikes on towns and villages in the Zaporizhzhia region. One citizen was injured as a result of enemy attacks, according to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Police Department.

"Yesterday, the police recorded 35 reports of destruction," the statement reads.

The villages of Yuliyivka and Novooleksandrivka in the Zaporizhzhia district, as well as the towns of Huliaipole and Orikhiv, and the villages of Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Huliaipilske, Novodarivka, Olhivske, Charivne, Chervone, Malynivka, Temirivka, Bilohiriya, Levadne, Shcherbaky, Mala Tokmachka, Zatyshshia in Polohy district, and the villages of Kamyanske, Stepove, Lukianivske, and Piatykhatky in Vasylkivkyi district, all came under enemy fire.

The rocket attack in the suburbs caused damage to transportation infrastructure, warehouses, agricultural buildings, and equipment.

Casualties due to Russian shelling

Once again, residents of Polohy district suffer from Russian armed aggression, as the enemy targets the settlements of Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and other villages in the region.

"During the shelling, a 63-year-old resident of Orikhiv suffered a traumatic amputation of his hand and was hospitalized," the police added.

Criminal investigations have been launched into these shelling incidents.

Shelling of the Zaporizhzhia region

Russian forces regularly launch attacks on villages and towns in the Zaporizhzhia region using artillery, multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS), and other types of weaponry.

On August 7, Russian forces attacked a residential building in Orikhiv, Zaporizhzhia region, three times. The shelling resulted in a fire promptly extinguished by rescue teams.

On August 6, using chemical munitions, Russian forces shelled the area near the village of Novodanilivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
