Russians attack Ukraine with Shaheds, areas under threat

Russian forces have launched Shahed kamikaze drones toward Ukraine. Air raid alerts have been declared in several regions, and air defense forces are active, according to the Ukrainian Air Force and the Air Raid Alert Map of Ukraine.
The first group of Russian UAVs entered at 10:40 PM Kyiv time from the south, heading toward the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
At 11:04 PM Kyiv time, the military reported a drone group moving through the northern part of Zaporizhzhia and the eastern part of Dnipropetrovsk, heading toward Dnipro and Pavlohrad. Another group was moving from Dnipropetrovsk toward the Donetsk region.
At 11:08 PM Kyiv time, a new group of Russian attack drones entered the southern part of the Sumy region from Russia’s Belgorod region.
At 11:15 PM Kyiv time, Russian drones were reported:

several groups in central Dnipropetrovsk, heading toward Dnipro and Pavlohrad;

from Dnipropetrovsk toward the Kharkiv region;

in the southern Sumy region, heading west.
As of 11:53 PM Kyiv time, Russian Shaheds were moving:

a group in eastern Dnipropetrovsk, heading toward the Kharkiv region;

a group in the central Kharkiv region, heading toward Kharkiv city;
-
several groups in the southern Sumy region, heading toward the Chernihiv and Poltava regions.
At 00:03 AM Kyiv time, the military reported new groups of Russian attack UAVs moving from Russia’s Belgorod region into Kharkiv region, and from the south toward Donetsk region.

Russian air attacks
On the night of Thursday, May 22, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 128 drones and a ballistic missile. Four regions of the country came under fire.
In the morning, explosions were heard in Kyiv due to air defense operations against Russian UAVs.
Later in the day, Russia launched ballistic missile strikes on Kropyvnytskyi.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported intensified strikes in the Sumy region and did not rule out attempts by Russian forces to seize part of the region ahead of upcoming negotiations.
