Explosions sound in Kyiv during Russian drone attack

Explosions are heard in Kyiv amid an attack by Russian strike drones. Air defense forces work, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, report.
"Kyiv - remain in shelters! UAVs over the capital," the military statement says.
"Enemy UAVs are approaching Kyiv. Air defense systems may be engaged," Tymur Tkachenko adds.
At 07:51 a.m. Kyiv time, monitoring channels reported drone movement in the areas of Bortnychi, Boryspilska metro station, and the Kharkivskyi residential district.
Later, targets were tracked in the Osokorky and Pozniaky residential areas.
As of 07:57 a.m., explosions were heard in the capital. The target was eliminated. Currently, no UAVs are being observed over the city.
Meanwhile, monitoring channels report one Shahed drone in the Yahotyn/Zghurivka area and one in the Vyshhorod district of the Kyiv region.

Russian drone attack
On the night of Thursday, May 22, Russian forces once again attacked Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones.
The enemy targeted Kharkiv with a missile strike. Many residential buildings in the city were damaged, and there were civilian casualties.
