Russians attack Ukraine with 36 drones overnight: Downed targets revealed
Last night, the Russian invaders once again attacked Ukraine with Shahed-type kamikaze drones, using 36 such drones. Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down 22 Russian targets, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"At night, the Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine using 36 Shahed UAVs. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed 22 of these attack UAVs," the military command says in a morning report.
According to the Operational Command South, 2 of these Shahed were eliminated in the Mykolaiv region.
"During a night drone attack, the 2 Shahed-131/136 that advanced in our area of responsibility to Mykolaiv region were destroyed by Ukrainian Air Defense Forces in the north of the region," the military says.
Russia's nighttime missile and drone strikes on Ukraine
On the night of March 14, Russian troops once again attacked Ukraine using kamikaze drones. Thus, an air alert was announced in many regions that night due to the sightings of Shaheds.
Later in the morning, it became known that a Shahed was spotted in Kharkiv in the center of the city near private houses, with no information on possible casualties.
After that, the Ukrainian Air Force Command announced that Russian missiles were moving in the direction of Shostka and Okhtyrka in the Sumy region. In the lower reaches of the northern regions, the alarm was again raised due to the threat of ballistic missile attacks.
Early in the morning, an explosion occurred in Kharkiv due to a Russian missile attack. Local authorities reported that the enemy had used S-300s in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city, damaging non-residential civilian buildings in the forest belt. There was no information on casualties.
In addition, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that Russian troops attacked the civilian infrastructure of Sumy, Shostka, Trostyanets, and Bilopillia with Shaheds last night. In addition, the Russian occupiers launched rocket attacks on Shostka and Trostyanets.
